Patricia Walker is an American actress active in the 1940s and 1950s, and later a costume designer in the 1980s.
Career
Walker made her acting debut in 1946 in the role of "Margaret Lee" in George Blair's comedy G.I. War Brides starring Anna Lee, James Ellison, Harry Davenport, and William Henry. In 1948, she had minor, uncredited roles in Charles Walters's musical romance Easter Parade and Jack Conway's comedy Julia Misbehaves.
In 1952, Walker appeared as "The Cave" in the 17th episode of the first season of the TV series Chevron Theatre, alongside John Daheim and Pamela Duncan.
Walker's last screen appearance was in 1956 in the episode "The Honest Man" of the TV series General Electric Theater starring Jack Benny, Zsa Zsa Gabor, and Charles Bronson.
Later, Walker switched to costume designing, with her first work in her husband Blake Edwards' 1979 comedy 10 starring Dudley Moore, Bo Derek, and Julie Andrews. Other movies in which she was a costume designer are Sidney Poitier's comedy Stir Crazy (1980), John Derek's adventure-drama Tarzan the Ape Man(1981), Blake Edwards's comedies Trail of the Pink Panther (1982) and Curse of the Pink Panther (1983).
Personal life
In 1953, Walker married her colleague, director/producer/screenwriter Blake Edwards. They had two children before they divorced in 1967. Her son, Geoffrey Edwards (born 29 October 1959), is a film director who is married to comedian/producer/actress/writer Sarah Haskins. Her daughter, Jennifer Edwards(born 25 March 1957), is an actress known for S.O.B. (1981), A Fine Mess (1986), and Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987). She has been married to Peter R. Chittellwho also works in the film industry.
