Biography
Peter Schiefke MP (born April 13, 1979) is a Canadian environmentalist and Liberal politician, who was elected to represent the riding of Vaudreuil—Soulanges in the House of Commons of Canada in the 2015 federal election. On December 2, 2015, he was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister for Youth affairs. Schiefke was born and raised in Hudson, Quebec. He was a member of the short-lived francopop group Inmotion, which had a hit with the song "Sauve-Moi". Schiefke formerly served as the National Director of Climate Reality Canada, the Canadian branch of an organization founded by former United States Vice President Al Gore to educate people on environmental matters. He was also a cofounder of the non-profit Concordia Volunteer Abroad Program (CVAP), which helps victims of civil war in Eastern Africa. He lives with his family in Vaudreuil-sur-le-lac, Quebec.
