In between, he appeared on the successful Renovation Rescue (2004–present) before appearing in his own live lifestyle program Our Place, however this was cancelled after just five episodes in 2005. From 2008 until 2010, he appeared on Domestic Blitz.

His Kelpie cross, Lizzie, was seen in each episode of Backyard Blitz until she died in 2004. She had the title of "Site Manager". His current dog is a Red Cattle mix, called Rosie.

Cam is a passionate supporter of the Sydney Roosters rugby league club, and in 2010 appeared on the photographic image on the club's plastic season ticket card, handed out to season seat holders.
